Rev. Judine Duerwaechter, MDiv., MFT
Judine is the Pastor of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Kiel, Wisconsin, a church of approximately 800 members. Judine has served in a variety of ways throughout the UCC Conference: New Church Start Leadership, Division of Wider Church Ministries, Conference Worship Ministry, Division on Stewardship and Mission, and The Board for World Ministries.
Judine is also a marriage and family therapist for her local County Health and Human Services and community shelters. She has served as a board member for the homeless program of Manitowoc County (Hope House) and as a facilitator, coordinator, and board member for Rainbow Kids, Inc. (children and adults dealing with divorce and death).
Much of Judine’s counseling work as a pastor and therapist has involved working with families who are dealing with alcoholism and other drug abuses. Because these abuses have affected her own family, in a number of different ways, Judine is passionate and empathetic about helping other families overcome the destructiveness of drug and alcohol abuse.
